The Montreal Indigenous Food Guide

The Montreal Indigenous Food Guide was created by the Concordia Food Coalition to honour, uplift, and make visible Indigenous foodways that continue to thrive across Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Food is not just nourishment—it is culture, land, knowledge, resistance, and relationship. This guide brings together Indigenous-owned and Indigenous-led food initiatives, including traditional grocery sources, restaurants, caterers, and community food projects, to make them easier to find and support. As a student-led organization working toward more just and community-rooted food systems, the Concordia Food Coalition created this resource to challenge colonial food structures, support Indigenous food sovereignty, and encourage students and the wider community to build meaningful, respectful connections through food.
