DESCRIPTION:McGill Food Security Summit\nLocation: SSMU building\, room 203
 \nThe Food Security Summit aims to gather the McGill community (with
  insight from Concordia if available) to discuss the collective vision of
  McGill's food system. This event offers a platform for dialogue on how
  to create a food system on campus that is both affordable and sustainab
 le. As representatives of various food-related groups\, we have the oppor
 tunity to shape a new food system informed by our research and experienc
 es\, with the aim of making socially and environmentally responsible food
  choices more accessible on campus. Given the high cost of food and the
  presence of food insecurity amongst students\, the summit aims to bri
 ng all relevant actors to the table to form stronger partnerships. The su
 mmit will begin with a presentation outlining the current and historical 
 context of McGill’s food system\, drawing on research and collected d
 ata by multiple groups. This will be followed by interactive sessions wher
 e participants can envision future goals and discuss the potential formati
 on of a food coalition at McGill. We invite you to join us in advocatin
 g for a just food system that benefits everyone involved\, from producer
 s to the table.\nAgenda: Friday\, March 15th from 10am-2:30pm\n10:00-10:3
