SUMMARY:Emergency Food Baskets
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nThe People’s Potato Emergency Food Basket service
  exists in order to supplement our daily servings of by-donation vegan lun
 ches. As with the regular servings\, the goal of this project is to make f
 ood more accessible to students and community members as the cost of livin
 g continues to rise. During the regular school year\, food baskets are of
 fered twice monthly in the People's Potato kitchen.  The frequency is inc
 reased during exam periods. This service will be available in the summer f
 or the first time this year!\n\nWho can access this service?\nThe service 
 is open to everyone\, with no registration necessary. Once weekly\, colle
 ctive members of the People's Potato pick up donations from Moisson Montr
 éal – the island's largest food bank provider. These donations consist 
 of items such as canned and prepared foods\, bread\, milk\, cereal\, etc. 
 The food donated by Moisson Montréal also contains meat and dairy product
 s.\n\nThe People's Potato does not endorse the corporations which produce 
 these foods. We also purchase fresh produce\, dried beans\, and grains in 
 order to increase the quantity and quality of food available.\n\nWe at the
  Potato strive to organize the food assistance service in the most accessi
 ble\, respectful\, and efficient way possible\, and we are always open to
  suggestions regarding how to do this better!\n\nWhat to bring?\nEveryone 
 must bring their own bags as we are not able to provide them. In a desir
 e to remain accessible to as many people as possible\, regardless of incom
 e or immigration status\, we will never ask service users for any form of 
 identification.\n​\nSpots are limited so first come\, first serve!*\n\n*
 Although the distribution of food bags begins at the times indicated on th
 e poster\, please take into account that there is a long line that forms b
